HTML Intro

Things I want To Learn-
  1. I want to learn more about how the beginning of a sentence effects the way it shows up in the paragraph.
  2. Can this format be used to make things other than sentences?
  3. How has this affected typing?
Things I Leaned-
  1. I learned that the beginning code is held in < >s
  2. You type in the code and then press see results to see what you have done.
Thing I'm Concerned About-
  1. Why can't you just type regular words in order to make a webpage, why does it have to be in HTML format?

Google Boys

1. Google was formed by Larry and Sargay which transformed into a huge success. This happened because everyone said they couldn't do it. They devoted themselves into this project, and spent almost all of their money on it. Fortunately for them Google became a huge success.

2. One challenge Google had was processing the information people typed into the search bar. The makers of Google made it their goal to be able to process data in under 1 second. Another challenge Google faced was facing charges. People often wanted to sue Google for "stealing" information from other websites.

3. One key thing to being ahead is to always stay focused. If you stay focused you will get things done faster, rather than being distracted from the work you are trying to accomplish. Another thing they needed to do to be ahead is to have advertisements out for the public to see. If people start to see the advertisements, they will use the website.

4. Google finds all of its information from other websites. They connect the websites to the search words that people type up. The websites Google provides for people are almost always reliable. They also use the Google Bot.

Eliza

1. I do not feel that Eliza was human like. She used the same responses for everything i said. All she said was "Tell me more..." "We were talking about you not me." and "Don't you ever say hello?".

2. To make her seem more human i would add more answers to her data base. I would also make her respond more relevantly to the question.

3. I think it is remarkable how much emotion siri can express in a conversation. Although i feel Eliza does a poor job in showing it. I think electronic people have come a long way.

4. I think computers have already come a very long way in becoming a person substitute. I believe they will only continue to get better.

Scavenger Hunt Reflection

The Scavenger hunt was a lot to finish in one period. I found everything very easily through Google. One area of strength was that i already knew a couple of websites for some information. One area of weakness was that i am a slow typer so it took a little longer.

Computer Buying Project Reflection

Over the last couple of days I have been working on an computer buying project. Although it was a bit monotonous of an assignment, i learned a lot about computers in general. Like how the thing you put cd's in is called an optical drive. I also learned that computers have a wide variety of prices from $300-$3000! Overall i think it was a fun eye-opening project.

The work with me and my partner has been easily distributed and were both pulling our weight. If we have a question we don't hesitate to ask. Its fun!
